Hong Kong, known as the "Culinary Capital," boasts countless ways to prepare chicken, and its residents have particularly high standards for food, emphasizing the authentic taste of chicken in their dishes. Tong Shun Hing, as Hong Kong's utmost supplier of chilled poultry, has been serving Hong Kong for over 30 years.During a media meeting in mid month this year, Tong Shun Hing Poultry (Hong Kong) Limited’s Managing Director, Mr. Tang Zhenfeng, shared the company's future plans. He emphasized that Tong Shun Hing controls every aspect from production to distribution with rigorous quality assurance, continually introducing innovative products while with an eye on further expansion into overseas markets.

Mr. Tang Zhenfeng detailed that Tong Shun Hing, founded in 1990, has spent over three decades developing in the livestock and food industry. It has evolved into a national key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization integrating poultry farming, processing, cold chain logistics, and product sales, striving to provide consumers with high-quality poultry meat and cooked meat products.

 

To ensure premium products throughout the entire supply chain, Tong Shun Hing is the sole Hong Kong company managing every step from farm to table. The company operates three industrial parks with an expected annual processing capacity exceeding 241,000 tons of poultry products. It also manages four breeding bases and 26 customs-export registered breeding sites, with an annual output of over 115 million birds. Emphasizing quality breed selection and 'slow-rearing' practices, the company has established a comprehensive quality management system and product traceability mechanisms.

Tong Shun Hing possesses the largest chilled poultry cold chain logistics park in the Hong Kong-Macau region and was a pioneer in implementing a 'Fresh in 4 Hours' delivery policy. With a fleet of nearly 40 logistics vehicles in Hong Kong, handling a daily turnover of 216 tons, the company ensures temperature-sensitive products are delivered swiftly and efficiently, thanks to built-in temperature control systems in each vehicle.

 

Adapting to changing market demands, Tong Shun Hing offers three main product lines in Hong Kong: chilled poultry, roasted meats, and its own line of delicatessen. Mr. Tang Zhenfeng highlighted that pre-cooked meals are particularly well-suited to the fast-paced Hong Kong lifestyle where kitchens tend to be small, making pre-cooked dishes a convenient choice. The company actively innovates its offerings, recently launching a five-spice pigeon product in convenience stores. Its diverse range includes both raw and cooked products, such as saliva chicken and numbing-and-hot chicken with pre-packed sauces to cater to evolving tastes.

 

In pursuit of global expansion, Tong Shun Hing has become an integral part of Hong Kong's culinary landscape, visible from luxury hotels to street stalls and supermarket shelves, with a market share of around 30% for chickens supplied to Hong Kong and partnerships exceeding 1,000. To facilitate orders, it launched the 'Shun Hing Easy' app, offering partners easy payment options, swift ordering, transparent pricing, and attractive discounts.

 

With operations already extending beyond borders into Southeast Asia, Tong Shun Hing plans to prioritize RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) member countries as the starting point for further international market penetration, leveraging its adherence to stringent Hong Kong supply standards and the 'Greater Bay Area Certification,' a mark of high-quality products and services, to facilitate its global outreach.



Shun'an Ranch, located in Boluo County, Guangdong Province, is a national level standardized demonstration farm for livestock and poultry farms.

 

The company embarked on an ambitious project in 2020 with the construction of a full poultry industry chain processing park in Nanle County, Henan Province, aimed at the international market. This project, with an initial investment of approximately RMB 300 million for phase one and a second phase investment of RMB 500 million across 115 acres of land, is anticipated to commence operation by the end of this year or early next. Looking ahead, Tong Shun Hing aims to solidify its position in the Greater China region within Asia Pacific and ultimately bring China's exceptional poultry products to the world.
